The Dance Eclectic was officially award 501(c)3 status on January 25th, 2017. This is a major milestone that will help us grow our mission for years to come: creating a vibrant and welcoming dance collective creating collaborative performance opportunities for adult dancers of all types and experience levels. It was with support from our friends, family, and community that we were able to achieve this goal (seriously, it turns out, applying for non-profit status is not cheap!). But this is just the first step towards achieving our ultimate vision, and continued support from our friends, family, and community will be critical.
Your tax-deductible gift will allow us to invest in buying a marley floor for the studio we are in. This floor will help improve our movement quality while also protecting our bodies. We are a multi-age dance company and are currently dancing on a concrete floor. We make due with what we have, but our bodies would really be happier with a nice cushioned marley floor.
